Continuing Education Cell

In February 2000, the Continuing Education Cell of Polytechnic was given registration by the Centre For Continuing Education Kerala, which established by the Government of Kerala Regn. No : CEC/P-122/2000.

Aims & Objectives

To impart need-based training to the unemployed so as increase their employ-ability in the key structures of economy.
To offer full-time, part-time, formal, non-formal and distance education programmes.
To identify the employment potential areas, and to conduct relevant courses.
To conduct need-based training to the Government employees so as to enable them update and renew their knowledge, and Scope the changing technical environment, especially in field of information technology.
To conduct short term courses for Jail inmates of Jail departments to fulfill the objectives of the centre

External Tie-Up with NSDC Training Partner

We started Professional Diploma in Automobile Engineering Course in collaboration with NSDC Training Partner.

STEP 4 U (Special Training and Empowerment Programme for the Underprivileged)

It is a programme implementation of short term courses for SC/ST youth in Engineering Colleges/Polytechnic Colleges by the Directorate of Technical Education. These courses are implemented though the CE cell.

Training Statistics

Since the establishment in 2000, CE cell has trained thousands of students. Most of them found employment and some started self employment ventures.

10 Months Electrical wireman Courses started inmates of Open Prison & Correctional Home, Nettukaltheri in Trivandrum Dist. 17 inmates are successfully completed the programme.
