The CDTP is functioning in this institution from 2009 April onwards. The main objectives of this scheme is to train the jobless villagers for self/ waged employment. The resources of ourinstitution is made use of by conducting Welding & Fabrication, Plumbing & Sanitation, Aluminum Fabrication, Electrical Wiring, Data entry, DTP and Office Automation etc. The other courses are conducted in extension centres at villages. We have tie up with many Govt Institutions such as Coconut Development Board, Swichithwa mission, Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment, Jack Fruit Promotion Council, Industries departments, NABARD etc.
As per the norms and guidelines from, Government of India, the following objectives are carried out in our institution.
To carry out need assessment survey
To impart skill development training to the intended target groups
To disseminate appropriate technologies for productivity enhancement
To provide technical and support services to rural masses and slums dwellers
To create awareness among the target groups about technological advancement and contemporary issues of importance.
